What is the best portable piano keyboard I can get for $300? $500 the most.?
I have this $85 Yamaha piano I got from Christmas. It plays good. Built in Sustain, MIDI, a lot of good features. But the only feature it doesn’t have which I really want is a piano that is hammer graded like a real piano. Is there a good piano, preferably from Yamaha, that has most of these features in my price range?
~ Hammer graded
~ MIDI plug
~ Looks similar to the Yamaha DGX series (with the stand)
~ Recording ability
~ Sustain plug
~ 70+ keys
~ Would be nice if it can play multiple voices
~ A display screen that shows a sufficient amount of information
Any other features would be great.
It doesn’t have to have all these features but in my price range
You can buy a YAMAHA YPG-535 from Music123 for $500 without accessories. I bought one about a month ago to keep in the office so I don’t have to run back to the studio, and I really enjoy playing it. I have it right behind me so all I have to do is swing around in my chair to go from desk to keyboard, which makes it an attractive option to running down the hall to the studio to use the ROLAND.
This new generation of Yamaha keyboards have a GREAT feature.. a single butten marked « Piano » that takes you directly to a very acceptable GRAND PIANO sound, from any voice settings you have been playing. You need to add about $100 for a few accessories, though.
