Buying an accordion, looking for instructor near my area?
Recently I’ve developed an interest of learning an accordion. I can play piano well, have basic knowledge of music theory.
In my case, I would like to know:
1. For a starter how many bass keys am I looking for?( Personally I prefer getting the one with 120 bass, so I’m not limited, but again I am a beginner and I know nothing about accordions.)
2. What are switches for? Is it something important to look out for?
3. What brand makes some decent accordions that will be suitable for me ? (Price range $100-600)
It’ll be appreciated if someone can answer my questions! :]
PS. I live in Monterey Park, CA, is there any instructor near my area by chance?
I saw a deal on ebay, it is Hohnica 2353, can anyone tell me if it’s good? I’m assuming it’s good because the brand is Hohner
Look on the Hobgoblin USA website. They are folk music specialists and carry a range of accordions.
Hope this helps
