Piano Exposed..?

I just moved everything around in my room, and I put my piano infront of a big window, and I remember reading somewhere that sun exposure is bad for pianos..is that true? I only have my blinds open on the weekends because I’m never home during the week and when I am it’s dark…so would that be okay? or should I get some sort of cover for it?..even just cover it in material or whatever.

Ultra Violet (UV) rays will bleach almost anything.. They sell plastic film, that slightly tints your windows and blocks our UV rays. This will protect your piano and any furniture… Ask as your local hardware or home improvement store for it. It just sticks to the glass and you can see right through it., If that is not an option then i would Cover it, or at least the parts of it that light touches, because over time the color will bleach out of it and you wont notice untill its too late.
