Missing Movie: Romantic: Man and woman meet. Piano player or Violin. War Sad Ending Italian?
I have been searching for this movie for my mother for over 20 years. I even wrote to Leonard Maltin but had no luck. Its about a woman who meets a a man who is either a famous piano player or violin player. They fall in love and because of the war (WW2?) they get separated. Years down the road she goes back to the old theater looking for him and she stands on the old run down stage remembering his bittersweet music. Violin or piano music. I know that it is not « Letter from an Unknown Woman ». My mother saw this as a teenager with my dad in Cuba many, many years ago. She says that it may have been an Italian film. Their 50th anniversary is coming up and I hope to locate it. HELP!
The Glass Mountain maybe?.. (1949) .. it would help to narrow down the « many many years ago »..
