I would like to build a garage in my back-yard?
I don’t have a big massive yard. However I would like to build a big garage at the end of my yard. I would like to build it to the width of my yard and also cover half the length of my yard. The front would have brick pillars and then there would be brick pillars at the rear. In between would be 6x6inch posts and in between them would be fencing. So apart from the fact, that it would be open from the rear and only secure from the front, it would be a garage used for storage of household items
HERE IS THE QUESTION:
1. Can anyone advise what the current UK Rules are about building garage type of buildings in your back yard
2. Do you think you would need to get planning permission.
Thanks in advance for your help.
You will need planning permission and building inspectors to come in – sorry dude – not as easy as it used to be.
