What’s the track: 4-ish years ago, BBC TV advert for BBC radio DJ, Jazz groove that turns into a House track..
I can’t remember the DJ or the station – but I think it was something like Judge Jules on Radio 1. The advert was the dj going into various record shops and searching for LPs (I think).
The track starts like a jazz groove, piano and occasional trumpet. Then ever so slowly a house beat starts to kick in … and then couple of vocal samples like: « put your hands together » or « I want you to guess again » I think . .. they’re not clear.
What IS this track . . . can’t find reference to it anywhere !
It might be Watermelon man by Herbie Hancock. Mixes from the album Takin’ Off (not to be confused with the Headhunters album version).
