Which of the following is the best piece for a piano competition?
Hello,
I have a piano competition in about a year or so, and I’m looking for a new piece to play. I am quite a skilled pianist; recently i have played Ravel’s Toccata, but i can definitely play harder pieces. Basically, I’m looking for some opinions on which of the following pieces would be best for a competition, but I’m also totally open to suggestions.
Prokofiev-Toccata
Debussy-L’isle joyeuse
Alkan-Le festin d’esope
Alkan-Le Preux
(Obviously the Alkan pieces are incredibly difficult, but i’m sure that i would be able to push myself to play them)
