Can door trim be removed and replaced?

I am going to hire a piano moving company to move a very large heavy player piano from a basement. I’m not sure if the piano can fit through the door because of the door trim. Can the door trim be carefully removed and replaced? Has anyone done this?

Yes it can. I am a landlord and am continually removing and replacing trim for tenants that are moving in or out. Chances are the movers will do it for you. Just be careful when you remove the trim so it can be replaced without purchasing new trim.
