If i paint one wall of my room a darker shade, Which wall should it be?

My room’s wall is a very light shade of pink called « Pink petals » by asian paints. I want to paint one wall darker shade of purple. So which wall should it be? A side pillar next to my bed or the wall behind my bed? The wall opposite to my bed has a big window and above my bed is a tubelight. My room is decorated around the different shades of pink, Dark and light brown woods… My bed, for instance, is a dark brown venier bed with a head rest.

The wall behind your bed. If you paint a window wall a darker color, the color will look even darker – if the color is deep, it will look black. I would do your accent wall 2 shades deeper than your main walls – too deep of a contrast will wash out the other walls.
