I officially am going to quit piano and try the flute, any suggestions flute players?
I really am not liking piano and have decided I want to quit. Instead I will try the flute. Any suggestions/info about the flute, flute players?
I played piano and decided I would despise music for the rest of my life…..
Then I switched to flute. It was amazing! It took a while to get a good tone quality, but it is so rewarding. Just grab a fingering chart and learn fingerings. Play some basic songs, and listen to professional recordings of flute players (James Galway). I warn you though, the flute takes up the most air out of all the wind instruments, so you will probably get dizzy if you play for too long. Your lungs will expand gradually and you’ll realize how long you can hold your breath after a few months.
Go for it, but try not to lose the piano. Even if it may not be your primary instrument, it’s very useful to know how to play the piano as well. I somewhat regret losing the piano, plus it helps with fingerings.
