How to partition drive to install win98?
i wanna play a game that only works for win98, but my comp is winxp. is there a way i can partition the drive and install win98 on that part just for the game to run?
These are your options in order of ease…
1. Look for a patch for XP, or a version of the game which is patched already
2. Search the web to try and find someone who has managed to run it on XP
3. Look for an old machine that you can use – install Win98 onto it
4. Look for an old hard drive that you can use – install Win98 onto it
5. Back up all your data, use your WinXP CD to partition the drive – do not install XP yet; use your Win98 CD to install Win98; use your WinXP CD to install onto the remaining partition.
Hope you can manage 1, 2, 3 or 4
5 will be a pain
I have an old game that only ran under Win95 – I got a 1997 laptop specifically for it.
