Right Triangle Trigonometry HELP!! 10 points to the FIRST answer?
The lid on a grand piano is held open by a prop 28 inches long. The base of the prop is 55 inches from the lid’s hinge.
a. At what angle will the lid open when the prop is places so that is makes a right angle with the lid?
What trig function would I use to solve for the angle and where would the angle be located on the triangle?
tan x = 28 / 55
the angle will be the small one that is increasing as the prop extends, between the the lid and the base.
