How is the sound quality of a vinyl record compared to a CD?
i just ordered a record in the mail and i’ll be getting it in two weeks (devendra banhart – rejoicing in the hands… double-lp)
i’m pretty excited about it since the guy is one of my new favorite artists.
so, i was wondering whether i should enjoy playing the record or leave it in its sealed holder and maybe sell it to someone in the future.
i can download all the songs easily enough…. and listen to them all that way.
but i think i’ll just play the record.
i don’t think i’ll be too interested in selling it anyway.
what do you think?
Listen to the record – vinyl has better quality than CDs due to the fact that it is analog sound. this means the range of sounds is far greatrer – low frequency sounds better on vinyl (bass). This gives vinyl a « deeper » sound than CDs
