Viper car alarm problem?
I have a Viper car alarm that has keyless entry, the ability to roll down the windows by pressing the II button, and a thing that won’t let the car start without an electronic key inserted in some sort of device.
At any rate, I attempted to unlock the doors to my vehicle today, but the alarm would not sense the signal from my Viper keychain. The battery on the keychain was just recently changed, so I know that isn’t the problem. We just had a heavy rain storm, and I saw some condensation inside my vehicle, so I’m thinking this has something to do with it.
I can get into the car by manually unlocking it, but obviously I can’t start the car because of the alarm.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
question did the alarm work after you changed the battery ? if not , You may need to enter program mode and reprogram the remote.
If reprogramming fails then its obviously an Electronic malfunction inside the module itself. You may want to contact the facility that installed that unit on your vehicle.
The reason your car wont start is because the unit has a starter interface that disables your starter. In order to start your car you need to locate your starter wire and re splice it back together, thus bypassing the starter interface.
I would also suggest removing all fusses associated with the alarm module.
