Example of 8va (one octave lower) for piano?
I have started playing my piano since a week ago and I have been self-studying. Since I also played a violin for 4 years so it’s much easier for me to play a piano. I’m currently using Alfred’s Basic Adult Piano Course in Book one and I got to a song that I have to play one octave lower than shown. Can anyone explain to me? Thanks.
8va……………………| is all’ ottava (octave above); 15va is two octaves above
8vb……………………| is ottava bassa (octave below); 15vb is two octaves below
What’s to explain? where you have the indication to play above (or below) that is what you do.
