can one learn piano tuning by himself, any recommendation?

I play some piano and want to learn piano tuning to make some money. what tools do I need. and how much does it cost to get started.

I was interested in this myself, but when I asked my piano tuner about it…he said it was more complicated than just teaching yourself. He actually went to Piano tuner college (I forget where it was, in NY I think) and then spent a year as an apprentice.

I teach piano to earn some money… you can always teach beginners, and there are usually workshops you can go to so you learn some tips, and lots of good books on piano pedegogy. I went to college for it, but my mom started and could only play a little better than her students. 15 years later, she has a huge studio and very accomplished students. Good luck
