What are some beginner to intermediate ragtime pieces for the Piano?
I was extremely impressed with some of Scott Joplin’s work, especially « Maple Leaf Rag ». However I soon I realised after trying it out that it is not as easy as it sounds. So do you know of any easy ragtime piano pieces with which I could practice and get a feel for ragtime before I attempt « Maple Leaf »?

Depending on your skill level, you might consider starting with an intermediate arrangement of the Maple Leaf Rag (these are readily available at online sheet music stores for various levels).
All of the rags seem to have some difficult sections. Some simpler (but still not easy) sections of Joplin rags are: the 3rd section of the Weeping Willow Rag, the 1st section of the Magnetic Rag, and the 2nd section of Cascades. Bethena is in 3/4 time, so not a typical rag, but it is easier than most other Joplin compositions.
