Piano Course?

I’m starting with almost no experience; is this the right book to buy? Or is there some type of primer that I need to use first?
I used to teach piano privately back at home. I used this book for students that already had a musical background (most of my students were violinists taking on a second instrument, therefore could already read music) because it doesn’t spoonfeed everything to you like other piano courses do at the beginning.
Overall, I think it moves at a good pace and has better songs that Mary Had a Little Lamb. Assuming you aren’t under the age of 10, I’d say it’s a great book to start with; not boring and gives you a lot of good tools to build skills. As long as you’re willing to roll with it, you should be fine without any sort of primer, just read all of the beginning pages very carefully if you’re going without a teacher. Good luck!
