Wanting to start bass guitar and electric guitar. What should I do?
I’m a music person. I sing, scream (yes it is musical), play a little piano, play trumpet, and a little guitar. I want to know what I should do to get better at electric guitar and start playing bass guitar. I realize practice is key but what I want to know what songs I should start playing, what I should practice, etc. What is the best way to practice palm mutes, sweep picking, double tapping, etc.?
what should you do ?
relax! and ENJOY the sounds you make. it’s so much fun being a musician. IMO. and as you’ve learned, every instrument has it’s own unique sounds and range.
i play guitar, and bass (bass mostly to write) but started out as a drummer. and have keys that i enjoy messing w/.
just ENJOY ! as time goes on, you’ll find yourself picking up one of the other instruments to add a sound to something you’ve started. i write primarily on the guitar and will often sit at the keys to add a simple melody, and the rest then comes in a flood..LOL.
i do enjoy playing music.
and if you relax, and learn to enjoy it also, it will become so much easier! i promise!
