What is the difference between all of the different keys in sheet music?
I’m trying to teach myself to play different songs on my keyboard but i don’t know the difference between the notes in # (haha whatever that is) and ### (idk what that is either.) I know hte tone changes in the song and all of that but is there anywhere online that i can just read and find the difference in playing them?
Those show the different key signatures, if that’s what you’re talking about. The key signatures are shown on the left side of the music, not next to the individual notes. The key signature affects all of the notes in that section, and accidentals, or # and b signs next to just one note, affect just that note and any other ones in that measure.
When you see a #, it means to play the note just to the right of the written one, and when you see a b, it means to play a note just to the left of that written one.
In the first key, just one # means that all of the f’s in that section will be played on the black key right above them. The key signature with ### means that all of the f’s, c’s, and g’s will be played on the black keys right above those notes.
