How can I improve left hand piano dexterity away from the keyboard?

I’d love to be able to exercise my left hand (which is weaker and less dexterous than my right) in a useful way when away from the piano. Does anyone have any suggestions for ways in which I might do this?

I play mainly baroque music, and am not fantastic at things like trilling quickly with my left hand.

This is going to sound kinda stupid, but if you take a pen or a pencil and practice twirling it between your fingers, it will help. By passing it from one finger to another, it will help develop the muscles you use when playing, in combination with helping develop a better control of your left hand. Try it with your right hand; you will be suprised how much easier it will be than with your left.
