West bank Luxor.Weddings.?(Egypt)?

Does anyone know about weddings,celebrations on the west bank,I was told they are very noisy,and to bring earplugs,by this I don’t know if it is because of music,singing,crowds,but I wanted to know what is all the noise I read about,it isn’t fireworks,gunshots is it,as it would put me off going to that part,I have phobia of loud noises,guns,fireworks,sounds daft,but i am really worried incase I end up there when a wedding is taking place.Please does anyone know if they do have fireworks,gunshutting? Or is it just loud music etc,which I certainly don’t mind.I mean Luxor Egypt west bank.
Thanks,I would love the drums etc,but no way could I be near guns going off,or fireworks,I am really nervous,as its just a phobia I have,so I am thinking maybe in the city maybe better,and not the west bank.Going in early November,wish I did have the nerve to join in,but I would be a nervous wreck,one reason I am leaving UK,as round here November is like war zone ha ha,fireworks.

Weddings in Egypt are loud, but in a fun way. It is not gunfire. The guests of the couple being married follow them around the area in a convoy of cars – all beeping their horns. They are just having fun, and letting everyone know there is a wedding. It is the same all over Egypt, it is just the culture. The women also make the noises with their hand half covering their mouths (this is called ululating), again just to celebrate.
