Metal and Rock vocal beginner?
Hi, I’m a guitarist who has tons and tons of experience with the guitar but I think I want to take up vocals too. so my question is what learning products could help me become a good classic rock/metal vocalist (like led zeppelin and Iron maiden style.) And I’m a drop dead beginner so I would rather not have advanced products as answers. Thanks for the help!
Well, I mainly suggest first figuring out what your range is, meaning how high and low you can comfortably go. Then you should find songs within that range. Just sing a lot. It helps build stamina. Never be afraid to try a song a little harder than you think you can do, because you may be surprised. Just don’t strain yourself. Believe it or not, you can in fact hurt your throat if you try too hard. And be sure not to sing through the nose.
