Can you recommend some good menacing New Age music?
By « menacing », I mean not those cutsey piano pieces or Kenny G, but rather something like a meditative drone or a strange sounds, usually without any melody. Something similar to Jean Michel Jarre’s « Ethnicolor »:

I just answered someone else who had a similar question….for dark ambient, I listen to 70′s Tangerine Dream releases or just about any of Steve Roach’s releases from the early 90s onward. I particularly like and use Roach’s « The Magnificent Void » 1996 (really really dark and brooding), and « Light Fantastic » (1999 or 2000) disks. The Tangerine Dream disks I’d recommend for darker ambient would be « Phaedra » (1974) and « Rubycon » (1975). All are just incredible ambient music!
