What does ‘Touch-Sensitive’ mean in a Music Portable Electronic Keyboard?
Can a regular music keyboard with keys to press be called ‘touch sensitive’? I’m considering buying a used one through craigslist, and want to make sure I understand what ‘touch sensitive’ means? I want to make sure it’s not flat like a toy or a roll-up keyboard. I want a keyboard with keys that press down… The model is Yamaha PSR240. Thanks!
Touch sensitive means that when you press down on a key with different amounts of force, the noise will be either louder or softer. Cheaper keyboards are generic, and you can press it with a feather or a hammer, and get the same noise. A piano is touch sensitive, the harder you press, the louder it sounds.
