Should I take a class or read the book?
I’m taking an entrance exam to enroll into an LVN school but they require an entrance exam. My question is, should I pay the extra $45 dollars for a pre-LVN entrance exam course (only 2 days) or should I pay $10 dollars for a used LVN entrance exam test prep book? Or should I do both? I need to save money but I really need to pass it. From what I know it’s just basic math, reading and composition, English, and some terminology. It may not seem like much cash, but for a minimum wage worker it really is.
P.S. It may be in the wrong category but l consider vocation training as higher education.
BTW, the exam isn’t until October and the test prep class isn’t until September 22.
a two day course doesnt sound like much if you ask me. check with the school the course syllabus.
if its just a matter of going through the contents in the textbook, i would suggest you just get the textbook yourself and study hard if you’re confident.
if the course is more about giving students tips n the kinds of questions and format they should look out, i would suggest you go for the course.
but if you want to have absoutely no regrets, i would suggest to just take both. give yourself a peace of mind. unless you have alot of bills etc to pay for right now, i feel that this would be money well invested.
you can always earn it back when you get a better job after entering and graduation from the entrance exam!
