Which paint to use?

Im painting the door & window trim around in my house. The trim was painted I think with a glossy oil paint many many years ago (60-90 yrs ago). Which paint can I use today that will adhere well to this old paint? Thanks!

try priming it and then paint it whatever color you want it?
