music note piano questions?
i want to know what do they call it, the notes of music for example the happy birthday theme music on a piano is 1 1 2 1 43 or something like that, what do they call it number piano notes? im not a pro and i need to find numbered note for some famous music thanksss
I never used a number system – it seemed too hard to learn a system only to toss it aside later on and relearn another system. I went to learn the names of the notes right off – even though I never had any musical training before – at that point.
Depending on what hand position you are using at the time the notes will vary. If; for example, your left hand is in C Position, then the notes under your fingers are from C ( Pinky) to G (Thumb) on the left hand and from middle C (thumb) to G ( Pinky) on the right hand.
Your numbers would be 1 – 5 with 1 being C and 5 being G
If all of your muisic you’ll be using uses only C Position these numbers to note names will not change. If you change position your numbers will refer to other notes in other position in addition to these notes in this position.
Knowing this, you can transcribe your music to numbers for these students.
C = 1
D = 2
E = 3
F = 4
G = 5
But remember, when you have them learn the number system; eventually, they will have to toss that aside and relearn a new system – the actual note name system.
