WD Passport Hard Drive restore to factory settings? HELP needed ASAP!?
hey everyone. i recently bought a 320gb external Western Digital hard drive. when i plugged it in and looked at what was already stored on it, i noticed it had many files scattered around that were for the setup software for syncing the device and such. so i figured i would get all these files and place them in a new folder to keep it nice and organised.
The next time i plugged the device in, none of the pre-loaded software started and in My Computer the device was no longer labelled with the Company logo, it was just the small white box that windows replaces a picture with when it cannot be found, so i guess that when i moved the files into a folder i messed it all up.
when i looked into the manual for reformatting it went into detail about making the hard drive partitions again and all that jazz where in actual fact i just want to restore the software. any help will be appreciated. thanks
