do you know a modern jazz pianist who plays like bill evans?
i have tons of his pieces but i wished i could listen to more of his music… it’s so sensitive, placid, retrospective and unique. can you tell me other jazz pianist that plays like him?

yes i love david benoit… but he sounds more like chic korea like when he plays crystal silence.
Fred Hersch comes to mind, also Ted Kooshian, Mika Pohjola, and Roberta Piket. Among young pianists, the one who strikes me as most Evans-influenced is Brad Mehldau of Connecticut. He just never comes to my region of the country so to see him perform I’ll have to travel from the Deep South.
Too right- Kind Of Blue never would have been the iconic recording it is without Bill Evans.
