Best Piano Book for ex Trumpter?
So I’ve played trumpet since I was a kid. I realize piano is way different from a Bb instrument, however, I already have a fairly decent grasp on music theory despite not having played trumpet regularly since high school (10 yrs ago). I have since been interested in piano. I have an 88-key Alesis and can decipher songs pretty good just by ear, but I would love to learn how to get better with knowing chords, reading multiple lines at a time, and being able to sightread piano music that I like, so that I can eventually be able to play Bill Evan’s pieces (yeah right). Please if you can, provide me with the name of specific Piano Books that you feel are good for my situation. Again, I have a good grasp on theory. I mainly need technique, chords, and excerpts.
