Is a Haines & Co Upright Piano any good?
I am currently looking at a Haines & Co Cabinet Grand Upright Piano. Anyone know any history on the Haines & Co pianos? Who manufactured them? What years they were Manufactured? Is it worth getting tuned and refinished? Are there any known major flaws that I should look for when I go to look at it? I can get it for free if I want to move it. Any information is greatly appreciated.
A grand upright?
When you are able to view and test this instrument, you should be able to determine if it is of quality or not.
I suggest a computer search.
As for individuality, everyone has their OWN criteria of what they look for.
Personally, I would say GO FOR IT. An instrument can always be exchanged later for one that is decided to be more suitable…and God knows, I’ve gone through many. I like my Story and Clark, though my primary instrument has been guitar.
