Info wanted regarding the Columbian Piano Company of New York?
I have a ~100 year old piano made by this firm — yes the spelling is correct, Columbian (like the exhibition in Chicago), NOT Columbia or Colombian. The only info I could find (Google, historical newspapers/magazine archives for 1880-1920, online piano sales/dealers) was one reference (Real Estate column, New York Times, Oct 1906) to the Columbian Piano Company having purchased « five lots at the northeast corner of Third and Sidney avenues, Mount Vernon »
The website given doesn’t work, and besides, I’ve consulted several such websites with no luck whatsoever.
