How to make a piano style friendship bracelet?
I have the pattern but I would like to know the length the strings should be? 
The Pattern:

The general rule of thumb is to cut the threads 2 to 3 feet. So if your wrist is about 6″:around, 36″ would translate to 6 times the circumference of your wrist.
Also, if the thread is finer, allow more length
And, if the pattern is complex, allow for more length.
Now, that being said, what we always do, is to cut off pieces that measure from shoulder bone to finger tip and add a hand length for margin. That always seems to work, probably because arm length and wrist size is proportionate. I don’t think it would hurt to have a bit extra if this is the first time you area doing this pattern,
