Did my lights short out?
I have some Leds that I hooked up to a cars DC outlet. I used good resistors to make the current how it should be and I tested it an hour ago all it is is DC+12v –>spdt toggle –> spdt momentay ==> each of the two leads goes to –>White LED –> Blue LED –> White LED –> 2x 47ohm resistor –> -12v. I think on my second test the posistive and negative 12v mag have toched at the toggle switch would this have caused it to stop working? And if so what do I have to do to get it working again?
Edit the toggle after +12v is SPST
Check to see if there is still power at the outlet (by plugging something else into it, or using a voltmeter). You might have blow the fuse, typically a 10A or 20A fuse. Or look directly at the fuse. Often times there will be visible evidence if it blew. Or replace it with a known good fuse and see if the circuit works again.
